So does the zone contain any muslims, or those interested in the islamic religion? Maybe even *gasp* convirts? I'm to take shehada in a few months and was curious to meet others.
no flames please. if you're gunna start a post on islamic terrorism, save it.

I am a muslim by birth, but not practicing. However, i know enough to talk to you about Islam in an intellectual academic way if that helps.
I'm interesting in learning more, not converting, does that count? I only have one person I can talk too as well, so, I wouldn't mind getting a few more perspectives on things.
I too am interested, as Cris knows by the millions of questions I've asked him lol. My interest is purely academic though, at the moment at least. I know absolutely nothing about the future.
ok, so what is it that you guys want to know? we can turn this board into Q&A place.
Hey Cris, I have a weird question. One i suppose that puzzles me. Excuse the spelling here as well. Why isn't any type of alcahol permitted, even in mouth washes, ETC, but things such as nicotene are okay? I have quite a few questions. Also, what exactly separates the 3 sectors, which I can't spell, so I am not going to try. LOL. Thanks Cris.
Hi all, and assalamu alaykum to the Muslims on the Zone! I am Muslim also, and I am a convert to Islam. I converted first in 2005 and then was forced to leave it because I was a minor living in my Christian mother's home, and then when I left her home I converted again in September 2006, and I am still a Muslim alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah.) It is nice to know that there are Muslims and people interested in Islam here.
Ok, for the muslims ( I definitely hope Chris checks this board from time to time).
The Swiss just baned the building of Minorettes (spelling is probably wrong) or prayer towers in Switzerland, which people are all up in arms about.
I am all about making people of all faiths fit into any society, so I am simply wondering. How do muslims feel about Christians building churches in, say, Saudi Arabia or any mostly mulsim state. Would that be similarly banned or would they be fine with it? It seems to me there has to be a balance and I've always perceived the muslims to want to practice all their religious rights and even law in western countries but do not let any westerners practice Christianity or their culture in their own countries. But then I do realize that is mostly an assumption of mine because I really do not know, apart from stories of silly UK teenagers who get 25 years in prison for trying to have sex on the beach (and I do not mean the drink) in Dubai .. not that it is not quite an immoral thing to do in any country.
So I am wondering, in short, how tolerant muslims are of people of other faiths living in their societies. Of course I realize this differs from place to place, say Lebanon to Iran, but any muslim perspective on this would be cool.
Hi.
I am not a muslim but i enjoy a lot listening to the call of prear called adhan or something like that.
I enjoy it as a musician because the people calling have got usually very amazing voices and they can sing very long phrases.
I would like to know websites where i can listen to several variations of the adhan. For example i want to listen the difference between the Turkish and the Arabic one and all the other languages.
I only know the website http://audioquraan.com/adhan.asp but i would like some more because in this website some of the recordings are not very good quality.
